  1. I cannot get this table to work at all – I’ve copied the the data exactly as shown but it doesn’t work. I called my file table.php. Can someone tell me where I’m going wrong?

      • I was trying to get this to run locally in my website builder package and I.E. and also in Mozilla but it only returned the last two code lines of the page. I then uploaded it to my website(this morning) and called it from there and IT WORKS! I’m upgrading my grandaughters website (mimi.uk.com) to be more in line with her age (9) and want to include all the tables, so establishing a working example was my first step.

Could you explain why it wouldn’t work locally – I don’t know much about PHP?
        I’m grateful for your feedback.

    • I am happy that it finally works for you. It’s like PHP is a Server Side scripting language, the PHP code is executed inside a PHP Engine and only plain HTML is send to the browser. So you need to first install PHP Engine and a Web Server in your local system. You can get WAMP from here http://www.wampserver.com/en/..in case you are using Windows. For Mac there is MAMP and Linux version is called LAMP.
